My Kindle gets all the glory. I wrote a whole post about decorating it, and honestly, it deserved it.

But here is the thing I did not say in that post: my Kindle is not where most of my stickers live. Once I started designing bookish stickers, they quietly took over everything else I own: my water bottle, my laptop, and my reading journal.

So if your Kindle is already done, or if you do not even own one, here is where bookish stickers actually work in real life, and what survives daily use.

My Water Bottle: The Real Durability Test

This is the question I get most after the Kindle one: will they survive a water bottle? Short answer: quality vinyl will, paper will not. Thick, laminated, water-resistant vinyl handles condensation, gym-bag rides, and daily hand washing just fine, even when Bruno knocks the bottle off the coffee table.

My honest seller tip: skip the dishwasher and hand-wash stickered bottles so they stay crisp for months to come. And when picking a design, I love going with a bold statement piece (like a dragon silhouette, quote, or fantasy artwork) that stays put through constant daily handling.

My Laptop: The Low-Stakes Gallery

My laptop is where my current obsession lives. Right now, mid-reread of the Throne of Glass series, it is basically a mood board for whatever fictional world I am living in that week.

Laptops are the easiest surface of all: flat, dry, indoors, and big enough to curate. This is where I do the full collage: odd numbers, one anchor piece slightly off-center, and breathing room between designs. I stick these directly on the lid, because vinyl peels off cleanly when I am ready for a new era.

Fair warning: Keep stickers away from the vents. Heat and adhesive are not friends.

My Reading Journal: Small Stickers, Big Personality

This is my favorite underrated spot. I keep a reading journal, part tracker and part feelings dump, and small bookish stickers are perfect for it. A tiny teacup next to a cozy romance entry. A flame next to a chapter that wrecked me. A dragon on the page where I admit a series has me in a chokehold.

Small stickers (1 to 2 inches) are the heroes here. They fit in margins, they mark sections without covering your notes, and they turn a plain tracker into something you actually want to open.

One tip: press firmly, and give the sticker a day before you close the journal under a stack of books.

What I Would Not Stick (The Honest List)
