A Court of Splintered Harmony Book Club Questions: 20 Spoiler-Filled Discussion Questions

A Court of Splintered Harmony Book Club Questions: The Ones I'd Actually Want to Argue About
I finished A Court of Splintered Harmony on November 1st, and my group chat has not known peace since. A part 1 book doesn't settle anything: it hands you a pile of feelings and a two-month wait for book 7. Here are the questions I'd want on the table. No filler, just the real arguments.
Planning your book club meeting?
Pick five questions, not twenty, and start with Nesta and Cassian. It gets loud fast, in the best way. Keep this post closed until everyone has finished; spoilers are the whole point here.
Nesta & Cassian: The Fight I Can't Let Go Of
Nesta is the hill I will die on. She did the right thing all book and got unfair criticism for it, while Cassian ignored her for weeks, didn't come home, and didn't check on her when she was hurt.
- Was the criticism Nesta got fair, or was she punished for doing the right thing?
- Cassian ignored Nesta for weeks and didn't check on her when she was hurt. Is that forgivable, or does book 7 need to show him doing better?
- Nesta ends this book in the prison. What does she need from book 7 to get a win that is hers alone?

Azriel & Elain: The Shadows Know Something
Azriel spent the whole book openly pining over Elain: time and place, buddy. But his shadows run away from Elain, and his shadows are the most honest part of him.
- What does it mean that Azriel's shadows run away from Elain: are they reacting to something in her, or telling him something he won't admit?
- After this book, do you still ship Azriel and Elain, or has your mind changed?
- The book opens with an Azriel-backstory prelude with his shadows, and I shrieked. Did it change how you read him?
Elain & Mor: Vallahan Is Where Elain Finds Herself
Elain going to Vallahan with Mor is the development I'm most excited about. She has spent the whole series loved, protected, and a bit smothered, and she needed to get away.
- Is Vallahan where Elain finally comes into her own power, and what does "finding herself" look like in book 7?
- Mor and Elain: are we shipping it? Even if it's not romantic, what grows between them in Vallahan matters.
- Elain has always been the sister everyone else defines. What would it take for book 7 to let her define herself?
Gwyn: I Wanted So Much More
I wanted much more Gwyn, and I know I'm not the only one. She and Azriel both believe they're the monster in their own story, so I want book 7 to put them in each other's path.
- Did Gwyn get enough page time, or is she the character book 7 owes the most?
- Gwyn and Azriel helping each other heal: what would that look like for each of them?
- What should the Valkyries' story be in book 7: Nesta, Gwyn, and Emerie together, or each on her own path?

Feyre, Motherhood & Family
I loved seeing Feyre as a mom, and her relationship with Nesta blossom. After five books of war and politics, the family stuff landed hardest for me.
- How did seeing Feyre as a mother change how you read her, and how did it shift her relationship with Nesta?
- Which sibling bond do you want book 7 to dig into most: Feyre and Nesta, or Azriel and Nesta?
- Some POVs were a tough read until the action picked up around 70% in. Which POVs worked for you, and which ones dragged?
Amren & the Prison: Still Suspicious
Amren is still sus. Amren telling Nesta to go into the prison? Either she knows something she isn't sharing, or she knows what's in there and Nesta is the only one who can deal with it.
- Do you trust Amren's motives for sending Nesta into the prison, or is she playing a game only she can see?
- Is the prison the hinge book 7 swings on, and what do you think is actually in there?
The Part 1 Problem: What Book 7 Has to Do
ACOSH reads as a part 1, and that changes how you judge it. The bat boy brotherhood needs to be repaired, and I need Nesta out of the prison to find Gwydion.
- Is it fair to judge ACOSH on its own, or does it only work as half of a two-book story?
- What does book 7 have to deliver for you: the brotherhood repaired, Gwydion found, or Elain free?
- What's the one theory you're most confident about, and the one you're most scared to be wrong about?
